Destiny Etiko Biography: Born to Mr John Anonde Etiko and Mrs. Eucharia Etiko Etiko on August 12, 1989, in Udi local government, Enugu State, Southeast Nigeria, Destiny Etiko is a prominent actress in the Nigerian film industry who has gained fame for her remarkable acting skills, captivating on-screen presence, and delectable physical appearance.

Destiny Etiko was born on August 12, 1994, in Udi a popular town in Enugu State, Nigeria. Destiny is 26-years-old as of 2020. She was born and raised in Udi, in a family of five children, 3 males, and 2 females, where she is the second child.

First Steps into Nollywood, Destiny Etiko’s entry into Nollywood was not without its challenges. Like many aspiring actors, she faced numerous rejections and setbacks. However, her determination and passion for acting kept her going. In 2011, she made her acting debut with a minor role in the movie “Idemili.”

Initial Challenges and Breakthroughs, It’s no longer news that breaking into Nollywood is tough. Destiny’s early career was marked by minor roles and background appearances.

Destiny Etiko described in an interview with Vanguard, a Nigerian print media, that after registering with the Actors Guild of Nigeria she ventured into the Nigerian movie industry commonly known as Nollywood in 2011 and described her experience then as a difficult one because she had to combine her acting career with her school recruitments as she was still a student at the time.

Etiko’s career received prominence after she featured in a movie titled Idemili which was produced in 2012 by Ernest Obi but was not released until 2014. Her role in the movie earned her a City People Entertainment Awards nomination. Before her role in the movie titled Idemili, Etiko had appeared in other movies although did not receive prominent roles in them.

The famous Destiny Etiko prioritizes her acting career more than relationships. Once bitten twice shy, Destiny does not want to go in the way of her mother who sacrificed her career to raise her family. According to her, she wants and would love a man who is able to accept her love and passion for acting. Currently, contrary to popular opinion, she is neither engaged nor married, Destiny Etiko is not married and the Actress has said people should stop linking her achievements to men because she works extremely hard and gets several brand ambassadorial deals.

“It is funny because I work for my money and I get good endorsements. If it is easy for men to give one money, then go and collect money from men. I work, make my money, and some people appreciate me.

“I just got an endorsement deal with a Chinese company that deals in sanitary pads and baby diapers. When I achieve something tomorrow, people would say a man gave it to me. Let them keep talking. Even if I don’t achieve anything, it is still the same people that would say after all the films I have been acting, I have not done anything for myself. I don’t want to take it seriously.”
